Keyboard Problem

I`m not sure where this should be posted but if not the right area
perhaps someone can direct me where to post.
I have a computer running XP Pro SP2. I`ve messed up quite a few of the
keyboard keys monkeying around where I didn`t know what I was doing. At
any rate I would like to just get back to the standard keyboard setup as
it was origionally. Is there a way of doing this with my small amount of
computer expertise (and your help)?
TIA

RE: Keyboard Problem

Hi.I,m not an expert but i do know a little. If you click start, all
programs, accessories, system tools. You will see system restore. This will bring
you back to before you started tooling around with the settings. It should
give you several options on dates. They will be larger than the other
dates.Hope this helps.TERRY.

Re: Keyboard Problem

Thanks. I have tried that but the earliest restore date still doesn`t
work. I was hoping someone could suggest what part of the system
registry contains that info and I could remove it and replace with the
registry from my CD. Is that possible?

Re: Keyboard Problem

Hi M.I just got your reply. If you go to control panel.Right click on keyboard
icon, open, hardware, then down at the bottom properties. It will have update
driver, roll back driver.Try update driver. If that is not working go to roll
back driver. That should give you back your original setttings.Should work
because it over rides all other commands.TERRY.

Re: Keyboard Problem

Yes, I did try that early. It also didn`t work. I`ve really messed
things up.

Thanks, I`ll give that a try tomorrow. I`m hitting the sack now.
