After uninstalling sp3 & finding my defrag not working and being advised to
install
WindowsXP-KB907265-x86-ENU.exe then getting this message: 'KB907265 Setup
Error - The version of Windows you have installed does not match the update
you are trying to install' I've since discovered I have MSXML 4.0 SP2
installed.
Anyone have any idea what I do now please - thanks - A

MMC would hardly fix a defrag problem...Try run,type:cmd In cmd type:
Sfc /Scannow Install the xp cd,exit the menu page.Once thru,remove xp cd,
type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,type:EXIT Restart pc.Retry defrag once
xp is running.The only other reason microsoft gives for that issue
