Windows Licencing

Hello,

I have developed a system of applications for Windows XP.
I would like to do the following:
1) create a VirtualPC machine
2) install Windows XP (some trial version)
3) setup everything
4) install my applications

I would like to upload the VirtualPC to a server so that the users could
download them and then see how the system is functionating and how to
configure their own systems.

Would microsoft allow this situation?

No, that's explicitly prohibited by the WinXP EULA. I'd suggest you
read it.

Re: Windows Licencing

First off....there is no trial versions of xp. If you were to use a
copy of an installation disc that had been used for installation on a
previous machine (30 days to use before mandatory activation) then you
would be in violation of the terms of the eula. Microsoft is really
down on piracy of any type.

2nd thing would be that if you purchasd the installation disc with
licensing for a single installation and then installed it on a
virtual machine to be used over a virtual network would also be in
violation

So with how you stated it, I think that Microsft would be very upset
if they found out what you did.

First: Someone should read ALL the words I wrote !!!
Quote: "I WOULD LIKE to do the following:"

Second:
Anyone can download a trial version of WindowsXP x64 directly from Microsoft.
I would like to use that version, since it is already available for public
download and it is time limited.
