simultaneous tasks in Internet Explorer

I need do few tasks simultaneously with few Internet Explorers opened:
download a large file via http, browse web use other IE, work with ms
office applications, etc. There is no a danger of interfering with
http download and interrupting it?

XP is a multitasking OS, so it should work fine. But the only way you'll
find out for sure is to try it, eh?

The point is the only way you'll know if it works on your system is to do
it.
