| USB2 Problem Hi, I am using USB2 devices on my XP system. I have the USB2 drivers installed. My problem is that until a week ago things were running fine, now however, all USB2 ports are running at USB1 speeds which is infuriating me. I have not made any system changes or installed any new software to make this happen. I have uninstalled ALL USB drivers then re-installed them but things are still running at the slower rate. PLEASE HELP before i lose what hair I have left Kind regards, Phil |

| Re: USB2 Problem Hi and thanks, Ok, I've done all you suggested regards phantom devices and still no change. When plugging in the devices it was telling me 'This devices can run faster....', however this has now stopped but I'm still not getting the speeds I should or did previously. | Re: USB2 Problem Hi, Ok all devices show up in the Enhanced list. However, the speed problem is still apparent. To explain what I'm doing.... I have a 1 gig memory card which I use in a mobile phone for MP3 playback. Previously it would take approx 10 minutes to erase and refill the card. Now it takes circa 60 minutes. Phil "R. | Re: USB2 Problem What you are experiencing may not be unusual. I have a drawer full of Thumb Drives, SD cards, Memory Sticks.... On some I can delete content quickly on others it takes a long time. Flash memory devices are fast for reading, but writing and erasing is noticeably slower. There are performance differences when using different format types and cluster sizes on Flash Memory devices.
