| Opening MS Word docs with Windows XP MS Works I can not open MS Word docs sent to me and maintain the original formatting. Additionally, a recipient having and operating system other than Windows XP (and MS Works) can not open my MS Works documents. I have a Windows XP operating system with the MS Works suite. Your help is most appreciated. -- Regards, Joe Tomaselli |

| Re: Opening MS Word docs with Windows XP MS Works Joe You may want to consider downloading a free office suite. If interested, I would suggest that you check out Open Office, version 2.04 which you can find at the following website; http://www.openoffice.org/ Version 2.04 is apparently much improved and a lot faster than the previous versions. If I recall the only major negative is that it has such a large footprint but if this isn't an issue for you, you should consider at least trying it especially because it's free.
