Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

I could not find a .NET forum.

I have .NET 3.5 installed. When I do a Microsoft Update it wants to
download and in stall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. The
installation fails. Can I hide it or do I need to find a way to install it.

See if you can download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Click Save and save it to a folder on your HDD. Close all programs and turn
off your anti-virus program and then install it.

..NET Framework versions are all different program and not cumulative.

RE: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

SOLUTION

I found this solution from another post. Thanks Robin!

Please search your entire hard disk for either or both of the following
files, and, if you find them, delete them.

Flash.ocx
Swflash.ocx

Then try update 913433 again

Re: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

Except that KB913433 is not .NET Framework 1.1 SP1!

1. Write down what .NET Framework versions are already installed before you
go uninstalling/removing any of them!

How to determine which versions of the .NET Framework are installed and
whether service packs have been applied
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318785

2. Now see Resolutions Methods 1 or 2 in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100 (ignore the title).

If no joy, see this related post by my colleague MowGreen:
