Change folder options to show number of files in a folder

I've searched and searched and can't find anything that comes near to what
I'm looking for, it's a very simple problem, I've even changed it before but
can't for the life of me remember how I did it. Specifially I'm trying to
find out what to change to show the amount of files in a folder. For
instance, the recycle bin would show 4.0 Gigs if I'd been on a deleting
rampage. Or one of my folders might show that I have 554 files in that
folder. I can't find help on this and it's very simple I know. I would
appreciate anyone's help with this. Thank you!

Kekoa, not quite sure if this is what you want, but try clicking on the
View menu and putting a checkmark next to Status Bar. Does that help?

Yes!! That was it!! Thank you so much, I'm going to save this thread for
future reference. I've searched all over and was not able to find help, all
I could find was hiding and showing folders but that was not my problem,
thank you again!
