| Can't start computer up Ok well i shut off my computer yesterday, and when i went to start it back up it would not start. I can see my back ground, and when i press ctrl+alt+delete that window comes up. Thats it though. I can start it up in safe mode w/ networking without a problem. I can surf the web and everything. I tried restoring settings to a few days ago, and still nothing. Any suggestions |

Also when i start up the computer it takes FOREVER to start up and even get to the start up music thing. It takes like 10 mins for it to start up. |

Click Start / Run / msconfig.exe {OK}, then click the Startup tab. Disconnect your machine from the Internet during these tests - your virus protection might be disabled!" I tried that, and it didn't work. It just booted up and i saw my background and that was it. |

If you don't then you might get hit with a virus. 2. Run msconfig.exe and click the Startup tab. 3. Untick every task. 4. Reboot in normal mode. 5. Restore one or two ticks at the time until you find the culprit. You did Steps 1 and 2. What about Step 3? |
