Uninstall windows live messenger - How do I uninstall.

I have tried lots ways.....

Add remove programs.....windows messenger is unchecked.

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

But I still have the windows live folders and can run windows messenger.

Should I delete these folders? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have windows xp home version 5.1 (build 2600.....service pack 2)

I have Windows live messenger version 2008 (build 8.5.1302.1018) (which I
dont want!!!)

Re: Uninstall windows live messenger - How do I uninstall.

It sounds like you unchecked it in add remove windows components. That just
stops it from running at startup. You need to uninstall it from add remove
programs hope this helps
