| Outlook/Outlook Express email account password not being saved I have gone through the Knowledge Base and found an article that addressed the problem, but it didn't work. The steps are close, but not quite. When I try and delete an item from the registry, as instructed, the delete doesn't work. Any thoughts on what to do from here. |

| Re: Outlook/Outlook Express email account password not being saved Outlook & Outlook Express are two entirely different apps each have dedicated news groups for support. When you finally get round to posting to the correct group you need to mention the version of whatever mail app you are using, and in the case of outlook the account type. | Re: Outlook/Outlook Express email account password not being saved Sorry. Guess I figured that XP General was just that - general. Guess I figured that XP General was just that - general. Although what Old Duke said is correct, he said it so rudely that he's the one who should be apologizing to you, not the other way around. He does nothing around here but berate people for posting in the wrong place. He changes his posting name now and then to escape everyone's killfiles, but it's easy enough to add the new name in, as soon as he reveals who he is in his inimitable style. Yes, XP General is general, but it's for general questions about Windows XP in particular, not about anything at all general. The real point is not so much that Outlook or Outlook Express questions aren't appropriate here, but that if you ask in the correct place, you will reach the experts in that subject, and are much more likely to get the help you need. > "OldDuke" wrote: > > > On Wed, 7 May 2008 15:08:02 -0700, saylerman > > <saylerman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > > > >I have gone through the Knowledge Base and found an article that addressed > > >the problem, but it didn't work. I will NOT apologize for something that I am 100% correct about. |
