mis-sized dialog boxes

Question
I'm getting dialog boxes from a variety of applications appear very
distorted. They are often extremely large covering all the screen whilst the
main application appears normally. eg. This happens in zone alarm when
applications want access to the internet, or print dialog boxes and some
install dialog boxes, and the shutdown menu in XP appears with massive font
at the top. Amoungst others.

I did change the font folder whilst creating a wedding invite. Could i have
deleted or corrupted the old file? If this is the cause how do i restore the
old fonts seeing as i ddn't back the old folder up?

Thanks in advance

RE: mis-sized dialog boxes

Try this - it may solve the problem.
Right click on an open area of Desktop.
Click Properties
Click Settings tab
Click Advanced button
Set the DPI setting to Normal size 96 (if it is not). If it set already to
96 choose another setting (72 or 120...other) and reboot each time

RE: mis-sized dialog boxes

Thank you Rey, it was at 96 already and I needed to go to 120dpi and it
seems to have reset the way the dialog boxes are shown.

RE: mis-sized dialog boxes

You can try bringing it back to 96 now.
