Print: slow to add printer from print server

Hi.
I have a new Win2K3 R2 server as a DC & a print server: Dell PE1950 Quad
2.66, 4GB ram, RAID1 15Krpm drives. (my old Win2K prinserver is failing).

When I try to connect to a shared printer from most clients, it takes a real
long time to add the printer (sometimes 5 minutes).

What did I do wrong when I shared the printers? I did it like I did on the
old Win2K server. (add printer, created a std IP port, etc.)

What's sad is that my old Win2K server is fast at adding printers from the
client PCs. This new one should be just as good.

Thanks for whatever help you can provide.
