| Dialup Connection I am using Windows XP Home SP2 This morning I had a strange Dialog Box pop up on my computer screen . . . It was a "Dial-up Connection Screen and said, "Select the service you want to connect to." The computer had not been turned off - I came in and moved the mouse to awaken the unit and this Dialog Box popped up. I do not, and have never had a dialup connection on this computer. I clicked "Cancel" and it went away. I can't figure out where it came from or why it is just now showing up. Do you have any ideas on this? -- Dave |

This "dialog" shows up sometimes when a TCP/IP request is sent to XP. |

| Re: Dialup Connection Thanks . . . I ha already checked "Never Dial . . ." so, I guess I'll just consider this a "bug" and close it whenever it appears. It only comes periodically. -- Dave "Microsoft" <leedave@otelco-removetoreply-.net> wrote in message news:eQDjywnjIHA.4076@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I am using Windows XP Home SP2 > > This morning I had a strange Dialog Box pop up on my computer screen . . . > > It was a "Dial-up Connection Screen and said, "Select the service you want > to connect to." > > The computer had not been turned off - I came in and moved the mouse to > awaken the unit and this Dialog Box popped up.
