| Desktop icons move I run win xp pro on a Dell 9400 laptop wit an external monitor attached. For the most part I use both screens. When I disconnect the laptop and use it without the external monitor my desktop icons become disgorganized and all migrate to the left side of the screen. Is there a way to freeze the icons so no matter what configuration I use the laptop in the icons remain in the same place organized in the same way? thanks |

| RE: Desktop icons move How do I remove icons on display in the bottom toolbar? I click and exit them but they return. I only want to keep a couple of icons there. -- joe r "Andrew M" wrote: > I run win xp pro on a Dell 9400 laptop wit an external monitor attached. For > the most part I use both screens. You need to look within the preferences of the individual programs to see if you can remove them from the Notification area. So right-click one click Preferences or Options, if available, and set it to not show in Tray/Notification area. Or set each to not run on Startup.. -- Joe =o) |
