| Customize Thumbnail Folder Image Shows Random Images, Even From Different Drive I have been using a PC for 25 years. I have ran university computer labs. I have never seen this before. . . . This is happening on my personal PC. I am running WinXP Pro, SP2, Office 2003 SP 2 on a Dell Latitude D510. I almost always have a USB drive attached. I recently customized two folders in My Documents that had similar names by adding different images to each in the thumbnail display--Properties, Customize, Folder pictures, Choose picture. Now, occasionally a folder that has not been customized will all of a sudden have an image on it. Not an image contained within the folder contents, but "randomly" picked from a different folder or even from a different drive. This has happened on both the C: drive and on the USB drive. Today a folder in My Documents had an image from the USB drive. I can cause the image to disappear by going through the menu and resetting the view to Restore default. I would rather this did not happen however. Any suggestions to prevent this oddity would be appreciated. Bill |
