Re: Error loading WINDOWS/system32/gjrddqlv.dll

You have a Vundo infection, accompanied by Zlob and SDBot-variant
infections, most likely. I can assue you that no anti-virus application or
anti-spyware application or combinations thereof is going to fix this.

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7,
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for review
by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Last week I asked my doctor for a second opinion and he told me, "You're

No, Trojan/hijackware that no AV app can detect or remove.

But the OP may be able to remove the item from startup
by using msconfig

then reboot and delete it manually

Nah, most bugs are pretty easy to eliminate...
I work on infected machines all the time...
I manage to save most of them...but some are pretty difficult.

Only rarely will I need to format and re-install.

Perhaps 90% are repairable...

I've never had a virus in almost 18 years of computing... most all of
that online.

Still, I doubt that removing one is as easy as playing with MSCONFIG
and rebooting.

If it were all that easy, a lot of a/v developers would be outta biz.

Won't help. One or more rootkit components of the infections will either
recreate or replace the files.

Google on that family of bad boys and be hope you never have to deal with
any.

Thank you. I was sure the bozo was wrong, but I couldn't prove it
from personal experience.
