Hide Programs in Add or Remove Programs List

I have a large number of programs shown in the Add or Remove Programs
list that don't have a selection block to remove, or an indication of
program size. They are just cluttering up the list. How can I remove
and/or hide these?

I thought TweakUI might have a way to do it, but couldn't find
anything in there about the Add or Remove Programs list.

Windows XP Pro SP3

Download CCleaner. You can do what you want using that.

Interesting. Didn't know that. I actually use CCleaner. Will take a
look. Thanks.

I tried it on several of them. They all return the same error
message, "Cannot delete MSI installer."

Re: Hide Programs in Add or Remove Programs List

Can you manually edit them out of the registry (using regedit)? That won't
remove the programs, obviously, but it could remove them from the list
(assuming it's stored there similarly as it is in Win9x, and not in some
other database)

If the MSI Damaged or corrupt CCleaner will not be able to uninstall the
Applications.
Did you tried to reinstall the Applications again and see if that will get
the New UNWISE.exe for that App to uninstall?.

There is another way but it will be hard like weeding these Apps from the
Windows Explorer and the registry, please can you tell us what these Apps
are?.
Read this info here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/he...185721033.aspx
Try this MSI download :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
If the above didn't help and no other helper come with the answer I will get
you the Registry Steps with the Windows explorer Tomorrow and how to remove
the Icons from the Add/Remove programs Control panel.

My problem is that I can't really identify where these entries came

All the above a suite for HP software managements, if this Suite corrupted
or damaged, it will be hard to uninstall it, but you can uninstall manually
or see HP site for instruction on how to remove it.
Did you make sure the system is clean and no malware or viruses on the system.
Also, are you able to install programs and uninstall them other than those
Apps?.

Thanks. I will try these ideas. I do have an HP 3210xi All-In-One so
guess that is the source of the problem.
