| Restoring files HI, I am unable to run any component of Control Panel on my XP Prof. I scanned for virus and found a whole lot of them. Many were found on system files. AV said all of them were healed but Control panel still does not work. The message says This operation is cancelled because it is restricted on this computer. This happens even if i log on as administrator. How could i do a restore of all system files? Regedit works fine. Thanks Ramesh |

My guess would be that it's actually time for you to do a complete reinstall from scratch. |
