CMLS Trace

I have 3 files like this in my temporary files folder and they cannot
be deleted. I have researched through Google and other means, and
cannot understand what "snac" really means. Am not comfortable that
an item is being "sent" from my compuer. Would appreciate someone
educating me. Thank you. Cleo

A snac message is used by the OSCAR protocol (ICQ). If you want to
delete the files, use a Linux live cd like Knoppix!

Kind regards, Hans

Re: CMLS Trace

This appears to be something related to AOL and their AIM system. I
could not delete the files either at first. However when I removed AOL
from the automatic startup file I could delete them. Then after using
AOL again they returned, but with new times. It seems like AOL uses the
files, and thus they can not be deleted without turning it off. There is
a protocol called OSCAR that seems to be the culprit. It also explains
the "snac". Good ol' AOL. huh?
