I downloaded the file:

msicuu2.exe

When I click on it, I get the error.

Not much to report!

I have no idea why this is happening.

I found it!

I could not install the Win Scripting Host 5.6, because I could not
"register" jscript.dll

There were a LOT of other strange things going on.

However THIS:

WORKED!

As soon as I reset the permissions in the registry to the defaults,
and I also had to reinstall Windows Installer 3.1, then all works as
it should!

What a pain in the neck!
