| "Edit" is standard for opening programs instead of "Open" After I cleared my computer from a virus the default for a program when I try to start it has changed from "Open" to "Edit". That goes for programs that I try to start from [Start -> Run], [Start -> All Programs] and directly from the Program Files folder. The only time I can start a program is if I right click the program icon and chose "Open". In this menu the "Edit" command is in Bold text and seem to be the default command used by windows when I try to access the program. What is does is that is opens my Word program because Word is set to my default editing program. How do I reset the default command from "edit" to "open" so that I can start my programs as usual again. |
