| Laptop - Docking Station - Monitor Been using docking station for a years with my Dell laptop. Just started using an external monitor. Put it in suspend mode and disconnected from dock as per usual. But now, the laptop monitor goes into some kind of power save mode. I say that because it shows a very faint image, like 1%, almost completley dark. Happens about 10 seconds after it starts displaying. Goes dark. However, the external monitor works fine. I have tried reinstalling video drivers, even deleted all the monitors from Device Manager and added back, checked all the settings in Display Properties, which are interesting too. In Display Properties, the external monitor Identifies as #2 and the display on the laptop Identifies as #2. In both cases, the check box to "Use as Primary..." is grayed out - i.e., I can't unselect the external monitor and I cannot select the laptop display. If you are still reading at this point and have any suggestions, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks Tony C |
