hotmail (windows live)

can anyone help please? i have virgin as my isp Not cable) and i am fed up
that i cannot receive or send email attachments since xmas over 2mb
apparently virgin have now resricted size of attachments -without telling us)
i have been advised that if i use hotmail this would be ok -i usually use
outlook expess.
you might think this a stupid ? but at my age i cannot allways understant
the tech jargon i read.

Hi - you could certainly try Hotmail if you wished (although I believe you'd
need to pay for it if you want to use it with OE), or you could use Gmail,
which might be nicer (and you can download it into OE using IMAP, which is
better than POP).

I'm not sure what else to tell you - this isn't a Windows XP issue.

The basic setup doesn't cost. You can import your OE contacts. I get 5gb
storage and a 10mb max file attachment and never get even close to these
limits.
You need the pay account to access hotmail from outlook express.
