"my computer" starts when XP starts.

When XP Pro starts "My Computer" starts as if I double clicked on it. What
can I do to prevent this?

TIA...Les"

Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts.

Is there a shortcut to it in Start, Programs, Startup?

Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts.

Hi Bob;
Thanks for your input. I finally was able to make it back over there and it
is not in the Start Up folder. Any other thoughts?

Thanks again...Les

Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts.

If you go to Start, Run, and enter MSCONFIG

and then when that starts up go to the "Startup" tab, and review the
listings that are there, for something peculiar.

Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts.

Programs can also be started at startup because they are on the Startup tab
of msconfig or in the registry.

Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts.

I found this on Google, you might give it a try.

My Computer opens at startup
Go to Kelly's site, click on M and scroll down to My Computer opens on boot:
