If you go to Start, Run, and enter MSCONFIG and then when that starts up go to the "Startup" tab, and review the listings that are there, for something peculiar. | Re: "my computer" starts when XP starts. Programs can also be started at startup because they are on the Startup tab of msconfig or in the registry.
