| Check Disk Reboot No Diagnostic Output When I run check disk on the system drive and it reboot, I get no screen. I get the boot screen, the select OS, everything - except the diagnostics from check disk. I reboot, get all the splash screens, menus, etc...but when it gets to the check disk part, when you get the blue screen with all the white text that displays whats going on, I can't see anything - I get no video output. After it is done...everything is fine and I'm in XP no problems. I know its running. I can hit ESC to cancel it. I can wait for the hours as it scans the HDD and it fixed the problems. But I'm just wondering why I'm not able to see what going on at just this point. |

| Re: Check Disk Reboot No Diagnostic Output mine doesn't say anything...it seems like i just don't get video output on the checkdisk on reboot, which is just strange. Everything else I see no problem except on the check disk utility - that usually has the blue screen with white text that say... checking c drive, press esc to cancel... I know the check disk utiltiy is working and doing its thing...I schedule it - I press esc and boot. I schedule and let it run...and wait the hour or 2 and it finishs. I just don't get to see anything. But I know its running or it ran... was wondering if there was some reg setting to supress the display information... | Re: Check Disk Reboot No Diagnostic Output - Same prob!! Hey, did you ever get this problem fixed? I have the very same issues. Before about 6 mo. ago I always got the blue diagnositc status screen when my notebook did its chkdsk but now I get the boot up screen and then everything goes black for about an hour until the chkdsk is finished. I never get to see whats going on as the screen is always black. Even when I chkdsk external hard drive enclosures I get the same problem. If anyone can tell me how to get back my chkdsk blue status screen I would be grateful. thx Mack ---------- "Hobo Joe" wrote: > key exists but still the same issue. > > "NewScience" wrote: > > > Right Click on Drive C, Select Properties, Tools and chose Check Now.
