Logon/Logoff issue

I don't know what is causing this but it is annoying. For the past few days
I am getting a random issue where when I logoff one account in XP to go to
another account I am unable to enter the password into the password box on
the welcome screen. I have to press ctrl+alt+del twice to bring up another
window that does allow me to enter my password.

No MVP has seen this issue before? Now you know why people have to
reactivate XP so often. If I can't get this fixed soon I will have to do a
fresh install of XP. :(

In all of the years I've used XP, and we've got 2000+ computers with it,
and I've never seen an uncompromised machine require re-activation
unless there was a hardware change.

Yea, but this glitch is bugging me so I may have to do a fresh install to
get rid of it if I can't find a fix soon. That will require another
activation.
