| Software RAID 1 on extrnal USB drives? It seems that wnodws will only let me make dynamic disks (RAID 1) on internal drives. I don't have spacew internally. Does anyone know how to get mirror RAID in software on XP? Thanks in advance. |

Actually windows should have nothing to say about a RAID set,youre set should already be configured before windows,it gets set in youre BIOS & post BIOS RAID configuration setting (MS-DOS)..One can add,& make up a set in windows, RAID 1 is mirrored,as is RAID 0..As for software,use the RAID software for the installed controller ICH5 6,7,8,or ICH9,are intels,silicon image also.Review youre boards features for info,or run intel chipset identification utility from intel downloa- ds/chipset/software....
