| IE6 No Longer Works Greetings All! I'm running XP Home & IE6 died today. Can't access anything - either typing or favorite. I know I'm connected because I'm also running FireFox - have been & have had no problems. Both were running fine until today. IE "can't find server." Registry prob? TIA **Won't upgrade to IE7 - been there, done that - too buggy/crash prone. Hell no, I won't go ;) ** |

| Re: IE6 No Longer Works May be simple. It may be a settings issue. The first thing I do is check Tools-Internet Options-Connections tab-LAN Settings and ensure "Use a proxy server...." is not checked. (Mine resets occasionally, particularly after a power break or reset) ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.com/index.htm On Mon, 14 Jan 2008 16:41:01 -0800, in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, Lady Deadra <LadyDeadra@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >Greetings All! > >I'm running XP Home & IE6 died today. | RE: IE6 No Longer Works Not sure if this will work, but... In IE6, click on Tools, click on Internet Options, click on Advanced and click on Reset. I use Firefox because it is more secure, faster and stable. Also open source.
