How to make Outlook the default for mail

When I right click a file in Windows Explorer and select a file, then
choose Send To and Mail Recipient, it opens Thunderbird. I have been
trying for days to get it to open Outlook instead.

I set Outlook as the default mail program in Internet options. I set
the properties for the shortcut in the Send To directory to "Open
With" Outlook. I've googled extensively but I can't figure out how
to make the default for the Send To -> Mail Recipient be Outlook.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Randy

RE: How to make Outlook the default for mail

right click your taskbar then click properties click the start menu tab then
click customize. on the general tab at the bottom change your options for
what you want shown on your start menu internet explorer and E-mail.
