| Disable SSDP and uPNP services Hello, I read on these groups that if I disable the SSDP and the uPNP services it will restore my missing system tray icons, which it did. The questions I have, what are the disadvantages of having those services disabled. Will I be able to do everything I normally can with those services disabled? What are the advantages of keeping those services running and forget the system tray icons? Also is there a way to send a suggestion to Microsoft regarding the system tray icons, I mean it has to be a software bug that should be fixed. Anyone with any info would be a big help. Thanks and just wanted to say these newsgroups have been very helpful with all my problems....thanks everyone. Later |
