Mac's iChat on Windows..?

Hi,

I'm on WinXP SP2 fully patched. My friend is on MAC. Her entire family is,
actually, and they all communicate using something called iChat
videoconferencing.

Any way for me, as a Windows user, to get in on that action? Is there
somekind of iChat for Windows out there I can use and seemlessly join them
in their videoconferencing sessions (both audio and video)?

Thanks.

A Google search found these gems:

"At long last, there's a video messaging platform for Windows XP that
will communicate with the stupendous (but Mac-only) iChat AV. AIM 5.5
includes Live Video IM, and is compatible with iChat AV. AIM me or add
me to your buddy list.

Re: Mac's iChat on Windows..?

Unless I misunderstood something here, it doesn't seem to indicate that
iChat is available for Windows... but rather, that AIM can connect to the
iChat network.

Am I understanding this correctly? I'd rather not install AIM if at all
possible. I wouldn't mind installing iChat, however, if that option exists
(and if it does, can you point me to a download area?)

Thanks.

It looks like AIM is the only way for now.
