| Arrow on Icons The arrows on the shortcut icons on the desktop are missing even though the shortcut overlay in TweakUI is set to Arrow. Changing the setting from "light arrow" back to "arrow" makes no difference. They're kind of handy. How can I get them back? The previous owner may have removed them. |

Well, you can try this to see if it works: First, BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY. Then, open Regedit, and from the drop-down File menu, click on "find". Type into that box, as you see it here: IsShortcut Every time it stops, see if those words are preceded by the letter "x" (or any other letter for that matter). If so, highlight and remove just the "x" (or whatever). Then his F3 to find the next example of those words (there are six or eight of them). If your first few stops on "IsShortcut" show just that word, and no "x" in from of it, close out of Regedit, and keep looking for another solution. What TweakUI does is put an "x" in front of the word to eliminate the arrow.
