| Troubles with links to / in MSIE 6.0 Since a couple of days I got two problems with links to / in Internet Explorer (6 SP2): - I cannot open directories in FTP-servers anymore. I get an error message telling me that it cannot find a program suitable for that particular type of file (not the exact words, I got a Dutch version). It advises me to solve this through "map options" (translation from Dutch). I checked that out, but as far I can see, MSIE is set as the preferred program for all types of internet links. - MSIE doesn't start anymore when I click a link from Thunderbird, even though it is my default browser. Thunderbird doens't do anything at all when cliking a HTML link, while it tries to open other online files (such as JPG's and PDFs) in the picture viewer, Acrobat, etc. instead of the web browser. I checked the associations for URL's (both FTP and HTTP) in the registry and as far as I can see they look OK. I'm not really an expert in the registry though, so I may overlook something here. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot! Regards, David |
