I run World of Warcraft on my laptop, and recently had to reinstall the lot
to overcome a problem. Since then, my hard drive constantly accesses as if
its never finished loading. WinXP home takes twice as long to boot up, and
the HD access stutters whatever program is currently active. It's rendered
the game unplayable, and the laptop barely useable :(

I've cleaned, defragged, despywared, updated, devirused and so on, but
nothing has changed.

Anyone else had this problem?

If you hear any noises from your hard drive, this is often a prelude to hard
drive failure. Repost in the Hardware section of this newsgroup.Try to offer
a more definitive complaint. Good luck.
