| Cannot power up computer in standby from MS wireless keyboard/mous Hi. I can put my XP Pro computer in standby using the sleep button on my MS wireless keyboard. But I cannot get it out of standby using the space bar or the mouse. I have checked everything: Both keyboard and mouse (the wireless receiver) are plugged into the PS/2 ports - In BIOS SETUP APM both mouse and keyboard are enabled to power up the computer when in standby. In the hardware Power Management tab is checked "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" for both mouse and keyboard. I notice when I put the pc in Standby using the Sleep button on my keyboard, the light indicator on the wireless receiver turns off. The only way to get the computer out of Standby is to press the power button. What did I miss in my troubleshooting ? It is a fairly new PC and the Motherboard BIOS is updated, Thanks, Anders |
