reinstall XP but I cannot figure out how to remove the one I have. I know
there is a way but I can't seem to figure it out. HELP!!! I'm missing most of
the game because of this!

Boot the machine with your WinXP CD, then allow the disk to
be formatted. You will, of course, lose all your files.

Re: removing windows

Hi,

Boot the WinXP CD, start setup. Agree to the license (hit F8), then at the
point where you choose the installation location choose to delete the
existing system partition. Then create a new one from the resulting free
space, format it, and proceed with the clean installation.

What original software are you talking about? Please understand that we
can't see your computer from here and you need to explain better
exactly what you mean. We want to help you - you aren't making it easy.

When you clean-install Windows, nothing will be on the hard drive except
the operating system and the few applications included with Windows.
Any other software that came preinstalled by the OEM (Dell, HP, Compaq,
etc.) will be gone. You will need to purchase and install new software
such as word processors, etc.
