Brand new profiles in winXP MCE '02 sp2 after using system restore utility????

Hi Folks, i've Toshiba M115-S3094 laptop with Win XP MCE'02 sp2 a
strange things happens after i used system restore to a earlier state ,
i've 2 administrator accounts and this system restore utility created
two profiles with the same name but computer name appended to the names
and when my computer restart after system restore it was on with a
brand new profile??? and a hidden file under the new profile "
ntuser.dat.rmbak". can somebody explain what happened here and why i've
four profiles and two accounts.??? . thanks
