Microsoft IntelliMouse® Pro PS/2 moves to slow,please help I've tried everything I think is possible.

My problem is I can't get my mouse to move as fast in Xp, like it did in Me with driver V2.2. This driver obviously won't work in Xp.

I have installed the latest V6.2 driver and although everything works fine, my mouse just won't move as fast as it did in Me.

I have scanned the net. for help on this, and here is what I've done so far.

Installed Intellimouse driver.V6.2 as Microsoft PS/2 Port Mouse (IntelliPoint).

In =>Control Pane=>Mouse Properties

Buttons tab:
Enabled wheel Double-click

Pointer Options tab:
Increased "Motion" pointer speed to fast
Disabled "Enhance pointer precision"

Hardware tab:
Microsoft PS/2 Port Mouse (IntelliPoint)=>Properties
Advanced Settings tab:
Increased "Sample Rate" to 200 reports/second
Increased "Input Buffer Length" to 300 packets

I have also changed the registry 'hkey_current_user\control panel\mouse'

Changing the value to the following:
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00 ,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,40,\
01,00,00,00,00,00,00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,05 ,00,00,00,00,00

From the original which was:
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,15 ,6e,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,40,\
01,00,00,00,00,00,29,dc,03,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,28 ,00,00,00,00,00

and

Changing the value to the following:
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,66 ,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,\
05,00,00,00,00,00,a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00,38,33,15 ,00,00,00,00,00

From the original which was:
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,b8 ,5e,01,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,\
05,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,18,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,38 ,02,00,00,00,00

Although faster, the mouse still won't move as fast as before in Me.
I have also noticed there is no acceleration option, which makes the mouse move faster the quicker it's moved.
Similar to the option given for the "enable accelerated scrolling" option.

It is really getting to me and a right pain in the wrist, lol.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for any help or advice given.
