Find Wireless Networks?

What are some good programs, possibly free, that would help fnd wireless hot
spots or wireless networks that may not be password protected?

I've already tried WireShark and Netstumbler, but want something that would
show me the direction of the wireless network connection. Some hot spots
are just hard to find and once I do find them, I'd like to get the best area
for a strong signal.

Thanks.

Re: Find Wireless Networks?

There are small tools that can help with that.
Some are designed to fit on a key ring so they are very portable.

However, be careful.
Just because the network is not secure does not mean it is legal to
use.
You should always verify with the network owner before using.
