hello
i am thinking on trying to slipstream sp2 , winxp so i can use my sfc
-scannow.
i am to copy my winxp cd to a folder on my c: drive ,do i copy all the
folders on my xpcd or do i just copy the contents of the folders?
and the part where it says how to navigate to c:\sp2 folder and extract the
files
its got the following: cd\
cdsp2
xpsp2.exe -x:c:\sp2 [ENTER]
how do i make three lines in my command prompt? or do i hit enter after
each command?
thanks

No !

You are doing it wrong !

Copy the i386 folder to the root of "C:" so the resultant folder will be; c:\i386

Assuming the 256MB admin. copy of S2 was renamed to; xpsp2.exe
Execute...

xpsp2.exe -u -s:c:\

The run Regedit.

Go to; HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Set up

Make sure "SourcePath" is set to; c:\

Go here http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showforum=89 and find the
AutoStreamer form and download AutoStreamer 1.0.3.3 - it will automate the
task.

Yes. P\But just rename it. The Service Pack EXE file doen't have to be placed in a folder
and onece the i386 folder is slip-streamed the EXE can be deleted.

Hi Larry: Please... It's Dave or David :-)

That's the file you need to perform a slip-stream.
