My device manager is completely blank, I've tried the following so far
without success.
1. Checked that plug n play is enabled & started (had to use msconfig
since I cant see device manager) for good measure I disabled it
rebooted, re-enabled it and rebooted.
2. Verified the permissions were correct in HKLM>system>CCS>enum
3. Ran Fixccs.exe I got from Microsoft
4. Ran Apropos removal tool didnt find anything.
5. ran that cmd to check the integrity of windows system files - all
good

I don't know what else to try???? Please help! thanks

winxp device manager is completely blank

They are many hits for this and perhaps something may be able to help you.
