How to fix: Fast User Switching causes lock-up

I was wondering if anyone can help me out here....

I have 2 user accounts in XP Pro + administrator. If neither user "logs
off" and one tries to
access the other account (both not p/w protected) XP hangs. However, XP
swtiching is fine as long as one logs off and then logs into the other
account. It makes no difference if IE is only running or even a small
file or OE is running. It happens all the time.

Thx

Could that small file causing you trouble,

or you /may/ need to call Microsoft for a hotfix.

If you don't actually need to have both logged-on at once (and very few
people do) then go into Control Panel>Services, and stop/disable the Fast
User Switching service.
