Javascript error

Not sure if this is in the right place, I'm sure someone will tell me if it
isn't ;o). I have visited some web sites and tried to play some videos and
they all state that I have got Javascript turned off. I have followed the
instructions to turn Javascript on by checking Internet Options and enabling
active scripting, (and it was turned on all along!!). Anyway, it still won't
work and the web sites still say that I have got Javascript turned off! I
KNOW it is turned on and have checked a number of times and it is definitely
ON.

I am using Internet Explorer 7, does anyone have any idea why this might be
or a solution to correct this? I asked elsewhere and just got the usual
replies telling me to ditch Explorer but I am quite happy with it, just not
this particular problem (which may not even be Explorers fault anyway!), So,
before I kick the living sh....er doody out of my PC, can anyone PLEASE help
me to convince my PC that Javascript is already on and to please do as it's
told? I have even uninstalled and re-installed Javascript and that still
didn't fix it and also downloaded the latest Flash Player, (which I already
had too), as someone else told me that might fix it, it didn't!!!

Thank you in advance for any help you can give!!!

Signed

Almost at the end of my tether!

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

2. Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start | Run | Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start | Run | Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijack ware anyway):
