| RE: microsoft visual c++ runtime library runtime error c:\windows\expl I am running XP PRO with SP2 which I keep current with all Windows updates. When I attempt to access folders in Explorer.exe I am now receiving the same message in a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library box which says: "Program C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe Abnormal program termination. I have done a deep scan of my system for viruses, none have been detected. I used more than one spyware program to do a deep scan also....no keyloggers or other spyware have been detected. What is the cause of this problem and how can it be corrected? I do not want to do a system restore as I don't know what date this started on exactly, although it had to have occurred within the last couple of days. A system restore will impact other programs, so hopefully there is a fix for this. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you! |

| RE: microsoft visual c++ runtime library runtime error c:\windows\expl I have similar error. But I get it when I logged in with second user (one is already running and I do switch user and connect with another one), Than when I try to open internet explorer or my computer I get this error: microsoft visual c++ runtime library runtime error c:\windows\explorer.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unisusal way. If I logoff from another user I am able to open internet explorer or my computer without any error. Please , advise. | RE: microsoft visual c++ runtime library runtime error c:\windows\ I started getting that error I while ago, maybe a few weeks, but now happens more frequently. I don't have to even be doing anything in particular, just in a browser or something and get the error message pop-up from Visual C++ that Explorer.exe failed. I'm running Vista Home Premium with all the latest updates. I suppose I should suspect a recent update and uninstall them all, though that's kind of dangerous too. |
