| Windows Update Disappeared From Start Menu Yesterday when I clicked on Windows Update, which I had pinned to my start menu, I got a message saying the link couldn't be found. So I went to Help and Support and found it there. How do I go about getting it back in my start menu? It's no longer in Accessories/System Tools either. -- Mortimer Schnerd, RN mschnerdatcarolina.rr.com |

| Re: Windows Update Disappeared From Start Menu That's interesting, I had the same thing happen to me two or three days ago. Although, my Update was magically replaced by a shortcut to a small ..txt file I had saved on my desktop. I did a simple system restore to a system checkpoint two days prior and it came back. I'm running WXP Pro. Create a new shortcut and have it point to: %SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe Drag the shortcut to the start menu and then pin it. -- Tom Porterfield |
