| Incorrect network notification icon Hi, I have an issue which wasn't solved so i post again. Before upgrading XP SP2 from Win2K Pro Sp4 there wasn't any problem like that with the same hardware config and drivers. But now that drives me crazy: If i logon XP without entering password (auto-logon), always my network cable seems "unplugged", it's not true because i can surf the net "fine." Or if the login process is very fast ("welcome" screen is shown for a few seconds or less), i got "network" cable unplugged notification icon problem. I set up my network properly and both LEDs are lighting up properly (NIC and router). Shortly, although i see "network cable unplugged" i have no problem surfing the net. But if i: 1-Enter and exit network devices properties by only clicking OK brings back "connected" icon. 2-Putting password for my admin account brings back "connected" icon. 3-If my computer loads XP slow at startup i see "connected" icon. I don't want to critisize Windows but i'm crazy about it and "stupid" things of Windows don't seem ceasing to wave around. Any experience will be welcomed. Thanks. |
