interactive learning cd

I have a disk "Eyewitness World Atlas" that was copywright 1995. When I tried
to play it using Autoplay I got an error message "setup has detected
uninstall shield is in use. Please close uninstall shield and restart setup"
I don't really even want to install this but there is a picture on it I need.
If I have to install it to get the pic I will.
What is uninstall shield. Is it my Mcafee anti virus or is it windows? Is
there a way to just access files seperately without installing? Would
appreciate any advise. It says that file system on disk is cdfs. Thankyou!

RE: interactive learning cd

Then again, it may have absolutely nothing to do with installers. It may well
be that a CD from the ancient time of 1995 waas set up to play using the
Windows 95 operating system, and Windows XP is searching but coming up with
something else.

If that is the case, and all you want off the CD is a photo, I suggest you
insert the CD, ignore and close any pop up windows, then Click Start/My
Computer/[right click]CD-DVD drive and display the folders on your desktop.
You can then try to find the photo without playing the CD at all.

Good luck. Please let us know if this works for you.
