Repost-RAM question

Sorry but I can't find my post from last night.

Related to "won't boot troubleshoot guide" above. Running a RAM test with
Memtest-86 v3.3 that is in Ultimate Boot Disk. So far it has been running
over 2 hours and I have 534 errors and counting. I'm on test #7. How long
does this test program run? I have no idea whether these errors are "within
range" or what.. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Steve T.

The test will likely run forever - but if you have errors reported -
something is bad.

Re: Repost-RAM question

I replaced the RAM modules, had them since January 2007; with the original
units and all is well. Booted up on first try. Will get back if problem
comes back. Thank you, Steve T.

Re: Repost-RAM question

534 errors!
your ram is now a doorstop. When I run memtest 1 error is enough for me to
demand warranty replacement of the RAM.

You can escape memtest86 at anytime, just follow the on screen instructions.
Its been a while but I think its "ESC" key

Jeff
