Redirect of one letter to another

Hello:

Before I find the funds to replace my laptop with a broken keyboard letter
(e.g. "k"), I would like to know if there is a way to redirect a rarely used
key like "+" for a more commonly used key. I had thought with DOS awhile back
that you could redirect one letter key to another. I thought that a pipe
would work but not close.

Let me thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

Remapkey can do this. You can download it from some Microsoft
site. Also note that laptop keyboards are replaceable - just ask your
dealer.
